- 1 C softened butter
- 3/4 C firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 C sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 C all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) package chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare baking sheet with oil or Pam, or use a silicone mat, set aside. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, water and eggs until light and fluffy (you can use a whisk, don’t bother with an electric beater!). Mix flour with soda and salt: blend into butter mixture. Stir in chips. Drop 2 inches apart from teaspoon onto greased baking sheets, (you can bake in batches). Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until light brown. Cool on a cooling rack. Makes about 8 dozen.
