INGREDIENTS: (for an 11 x 13 pan)
- 26 (or less) frozen Rhodes dinner rolls (you can find these a Walmart Groceries or various other stores)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- garlic salt to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
OPTIONAL AND YOUR CHOICE OF VEGETABLES:
This can change with what you have on hand, this is what I used:
- 6 cherry tomatoes cut in half
- 4 stalks broccolini cut in half
- 3 snap peas cut in half
- 2 mozzarella balls
- 4 basil leaves
- store bought pesto (Sam’s Club has the best)
- some shallot rings
DIRECTIONS:
In a large oiled 11 x 13 baking dish, arrange 24-26 frozen dinner rolls, leaving approximately 1/2 inch space between each roll. Brush each frozen roll with a little bit of olive oil. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 4-6 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Once bread has risen to double, remove the saran wrap.
Drizzle with olive oil on top of the dough, creating indentations with your fingers.
Now the fun and creative part begins! Get creative and make a pretty design with the toppings. You can use Pinterest or google Food Art to get ideas.
Top the bread with any variety of vegetables, like cherry tomatoes cut in half, olives, fresh basil, and herbs. Use your imagination!
Sprinkle the top with salt and pepper or use Wine Infused Sea Salt Grinder.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bread is golden brown. Careful not to over bake, serve warm. OPTIONAL: Top with a sprinkle of Maldon Sea Salt Flakes (a finishing salt)
